These can be arranged with our Senior Coaches – Martin and Anthony Orton. Individual lessons are generally booked for an hour at a time, however, where younger players are concerned they should be shorter. We even extend individual lessons to joint lessons (maximum 2) where both players are of the same standard and experience. As advocates of excellent technique this is where players can really benefit from having one to one coaching.
We run our regular squad sessions on a termly basis linked to the local school dates. These are run after school – Monday to Thursday at Mickfield and Framlingham LTC (3.45pm to 7.45pm) and on Saturday mornings at Coddenham LTC (9.15am to 12.45pm). Each session lasts for an hour except for team tennis players who train for an hour and a half. Each player commits and pays on a termly basis and these squads run over the whole year come rain or shine and also into the evenings as there are floodlights. In addition we run mini red/orange/green sessions.
These sessions generally run on a Wednesday morning/lunchtime on a termly basis linked to the school dates. Players again commit for a term.
This is a new programme developed by the LTA where tennis is combined with general fitness. For more information please contact Anthony Orton by email email@example.com
Performance/Team Tennis Training
We run several performance/team tennis sessions that last an hour and 30 minutes for our valued team players who proudly represent A&M Tennis Club.
Tennis Player Consultancy
Through experience of developing County and National Players we are able to help and advise parents on the process of producing a top tennis player. This can involve tournament scheduling, nutrition, fitness and goal setting of a player’s technical and tactical requirements. Should your child display an aptitude and talent over and above the average we can advise as to what commitment is needed.
Links to Schools
We run lunchtime and after school tennis clubs in various local primary schools. These include Framlingham, Debenham and Stonham Aspal. Details can be obtained from the above schools about these sessions. We are planning to support more schools in due course.
Outside the regular term time tennis squads we run during the holidays and half-term tennis/sports camps. Players can experience predominately tennis and enjoy other sporting activities such as table tennis, badminton, football, cricket to name but a few. These are fun sessions and depending on age and ability could be half day sessions (2-3 hours) to all day camps.
